Kindly note that you can find a detailed explanation on your watch’s water resistance feature in the manual. Most of the Lindberg & Sons watches have the ability to resist water penetration in a maximum depth of 50 meters. Water resistance is not a constant property because it is subject to a natural wear and tear process. The given information on your watch’s water resistance (see case back) refers to the time of delivery. Therefore you should have your watch checked regularly by a watchmaker to redetermine the water resistance level. This should be done every year or every six months – especially when the watch is being used for diving. Also note that our water resistance information is based on the exposure to static water pressure only. Meaning that with rapid movements in the water or when breaking through the water surface the dynamic water pressure caused may exceed the maximum pressure your watch can handle. When using your watch in the water, please pay attention to the fact that all the crowns/buttons are well screwed. Never operate the buttons underwater! Otherwise water will easily penetrate into the case and the movement will be damaged. For diving activities you should principally only wear watches with at least 20 ATM water resistance. Failure to follow the previous instructions will invalidate the warranty! A tip from us: We recommend you to not wear your watches during activities in the sea since salt water is especially harmful to the watch’s leather bracelets.
In automatic movements the spring which keeps the watch running is automatically wound up with the help of each movement you make as you wear the watch. Each movement of the arm is transmitted to the winding mechanism through the so-called rotor. A sliding clutch prevents the spring from getting overstretched.
The power reserve is the energy potential in automatic watches which are equipped with a mechanical movement. The power reserve informs you about how long it will take until the watch stops running, in other words, when you need to wind up your watch again. Electronically operating watches, however, do not need to be wound up in order to keep on working.

Only use detergents which have been specially made for the purpose of cleaning leather surfaces. Avoid contact with salt water and other substances that are harmful to leather. We also recommend you to not completely submerge the bracelet in cleaning liquid or water. Instead keep direct contact with liquids to a minimum and wipe your watch straps clean.
The wristband is fastened by two small sliders on each side of the strap. To remove the band gently pull the two sliders back simultaneously. Replace the wristbands by pulling out the sliders again, placing the replacement wristband close to the case and letting go of the sliders. Make sure that the pins of the bracelet have snapped back into their initial position. To test that, slightly pull at the replaced wristband. Repeat the steps if you notice that the strap has not been attached properly.
